Awareness Committee
The Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC) Awareness Committee is dedicated to increasing public understanding of fibromyalgia through raising awareness of the condition to support early diagnosis and treatment.
Fibromyalgia Awareness Week
Fibromyalgia Awareness Week, recognized by Health Canada, runs from the first to the second Sunday of September and highlights the experiences of those living with this chronic condition. FAC marks the week with educational events, speaker sessions, and awareness activities to foster understanding and support.
May 12th
May 12th is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, a time to recognize the strength of those of us living with fibromyalgia. May 12th is a day to raise awareness, reduce stigma, educate and advocate for more funds for fibromyalgia research.
FACes of Fibro
The “FACes of Fibromyalgia” campaign highlights the real, everyday challenges faced by people living with fibromyalgia. By sharing authentic images and stories, it helps break down stigma, promote understanding, and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
