Support Groups Awareness Week
Supported. Included. Connected.

Support Groups Awareness Week, which runs annually in the last week of October, is dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and raising awareness of support groups and the invaluable support they provide.

Support Group Awareness Week, coordinated by Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC), is a week-long campaign that provides an opportunity to promote the existence of support groups, to highlight the benefits of belonging to a group, and to showcase the contributions of the peer support group sector in fostering healthy, connected, and thriving communities.

Primarily volunteer-led and operating with minimal resources, peer support groups play a crucial role in the health and mental well-being of our communities. It is essential to acknowledge and appreciate their efforts.

Join us during Support Groups Awareness Week in spreading the word about the existence of this unique sector, celebrating its work, and recognising the value of supported, included, and connected communities.

If you run a fibromyalgia support group, let us know so that we can include it on our website and bring people to you.
