(& wannabe support hosts)

Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC) is on a mission to help raise awareness about fibromyalgia support groups across Canada. We are reaching out to your fibromyalgia support group, and other fibromyalgia support groups in Canada.  Our goal is to bring those with fibromyalgia in contact with their community's support groups.

We are a growing national network with thousands of website visitors each month. Our membership is growing and we’d like to help you grow your support group too! In order to connect people to the right resources in their communities, we invite you to submit your support group information to be listed on our website. We are looking for support groups who are interested in partnering with FAC to increase knowledge, education and advocacy surrounding fibromyalgia in Canada. 

The benefits of having your support group listed on FAC’s website include:

  • A national audience of website visitors looking for information about support groups in their area
  • Free access to resources, tools and education that you can use in your support groups
  • Access to use of Pro Zoom account for hosting online meetings (subject to schedule availability)

Here's a list of things you can help FAC with, if you're inclined. We offer our support with no expectation.  If you are interested in a true partnership, help us bring more awareness to FAC by supporting and sharing our information. Consider a partnership with FAC in the following ways:

  • Encourage your members to become registered members of FAC 
  • Free membership to the FAC website provides access to member-only items such as awareness, research, education and advocacy materials (like newsletters)
  • Membership numbers help with funding so we can continue to provide support to people living with fibromyalgia, their family, and caregivers
  • Share our social content & events with your members
  • Participate and help promote our campaigns (awareness, research, education, advocacy)
  • Participate in FACes of Fibromyalgia Campaign

Want to let us know about your Support Group?

Should that phone number be included in our website listing? Or should it be kept private and only used by FAC Admins to contact you with questions?
Does your group meet in-person or online?
Do you offer services in multiple languages?
Which languages are services offered in your support group?

You can include multiple names and indicate whether they should be listed as the public contact for your group or if they are to be kept private and only contacted by an FAC admin for questions.

How many members are currently part of your group?

Please suggest ways we can make a difference for your group. Some ideas may include providing access to research studies, connecting you with associations, assisting with group facilitation or presentations, etc.

Here's a list of things you can help FAC with if you're inclined. We offer our support with no expectation, but if you're looking for a true partnership, here's some things we'd appreciate. Please check off any that you could help with:

  • Share our events and conference announcements on your social channels
  • Help spread awareness of FAC through word of mouth or your newsletter / email programs
  • Encourage your group members to register and become members of FAC (registration numbers help with funding)
  • Help spread reliable information about Fibromyalgia & its treatments and causes
  • Help us advocate during our Advocacy Campaigns (i.e.: Bill C-22 campaign)
  • Participate and promote Awareness Campaigns (i.e.: FACes of Fibro Campaign)
  • Become a committee member (there are 6 to choose from!)
  • Attend Town Hall or AGM meetings to have an impact with our association
