Join FAC Peer Support and Carolynne M for a free Qigong Session
FAC is hosting a free Qigong session on March 17, 2026 at 5pm EDT.
March marks the transition from winter into spring, a season of gentle renewal, where longer days and subtle signs of change begin to emerge. While there may be a sense of fresh energy in the air, this shift can also feel uneven. For those living with fibromyalgia, changing seasons can bring fluctuations in symptoms, energy levels, and routine, making it important to move forward with care and intention.
This time of year can be an opportunity to reconnect, both with yourself and with others, in ways that feel manageable and meaningful. As the world begins to open up again, so too can small moments of connection, whether that’s a conversation with a friend, spending time outdoors, or engaging in a supportive community.
Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC) encourages you to approach this season with flexibility and self-compassion. There is no need to rush into change, steadiness matters more than speed. Gentle routines, mindful movement, and supportive connections can help create a sense of balance as winter gives way to spring.
As part of this, FAC’s Peer Support initiatives offer space to connect, share, and feel understood. Whether you are joining a group, attending a session, or simply taking a moment for yourself, these small, intentional steps can help foster resilience and a sense of renewal in the months ahead.
Connecting with others through peer support helps reduce isolation and fosters a sense of belonging. Sharing experiences with people who understand can be validating and empowering. Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC) encourages these connections to build resilience, offer encouragement, and remind individuals they are not alone on their journey.

Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and drained by the uncertainty and changes taking place in the world? You aren't alone!
Carolynne invites you to join her in a 60-minute moving meditation designed to help you gain energy, relax, calm your mind, and bring your attention to your inner world. Qi gong is a gentle, easy ancient Chinese practice that can be done by anyone, anywhere, at any time. It utilizes focused breathing, visualization, movement, and sound to unblock the blockages in the body created by stress, leaving you feeling relaxed, peaceful, and invigorated. Its beauty lies in its simplicity, effectiveness, and flexibility.
You don’t need any experience or special equipment. You can stand, sit or lie down during the practice. You DO NEED a place where you won’t be disturbed for 60 minutes. Please turn OFF ALL electronic devices. This is your time for a little self-care!
Dress in loose, comfortable clothes and have a chair nearby to sit on or hold onto. Bring along a smile and an open heart, then let the energy soothe you. You may also have some water available for after the practice.
