For Accessibility Week FAC brings you, special guests: Tyler Dillman (Physiotherapist) & Eleanor McGroarty (Psychologist) to discuss and answer questions about accessibility.
People with fibromyalgia face accessibility barriers ranging from physical barriers, attitudinal barriers to systemic barriers. Our guest speakers, Tyler Dillman (physiotherapist() and Eleanor McGroarty (psychologist) will discuss these different barriers, answer questions and provide ideas for moving past them. Both guests bring extensive clinical experience in managing fibromyalgia and will focus specifically on overcoming internal and external attitudinal barriers. They will provide actionable guidance on addressing negative perceptions of the condition.

Tyler Dillman
Physiotherapist
As a Physiotherapist and Owner of One to One Wellness, Tyler’s commitment as a healthcare professional is to create a safe environment for individuals to learn how to integrate healthy lifestyle practices that enhance quality of life and increase participation in meaningful activities. Tyler is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s MScPT program, and has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Allison University, and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University.
With interests in Pain Science, Behaviour Change, Therapeutic Relationship, and Chronic Pain, Tyler's whole person philosophy to patient care is based on the understanding an individual’s health is influenced by the complex interactions amongst many bio-psycho-social factors. Through listening and validating patient experiences, Tyler aims to create successful, unique, and meaningful treatment plans to help optimize an individual’s health.
When not at work, Tyler can be found spending time with his wife and 2 sons, exploring hiking trails, and discussing fantasy sports with his friends.

Eleanor McGroarty
Psychologist
Eleanor McGroarty is a compassionate psychologist dedicated to helping individuals manage emotional and physical distress and pain, including those with fibromyalgia. With training from McGill University, the Calgary Counselling Centre, and various research and clinical settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work. Eleanor collaborates closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address both physical and emotional challenges. She is passionate about interdisciplinary collaborative care and values being part of the team at One to One Wellness, where she works alongside physiotherapists, massage therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support. Through this collaborative approach, Eleanor ensures that clients receive holistic care that integrates psychological, physical, and therapeutic strategies to manage pain and distress. With extensive experience supporting individuals facing pain, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and more, Eleanor integrates evidence-based approaches to activate positive change while addressing deeper causes.
