Comprendre le diagnostic et le traitement du syndrome de tachycardie orthostatique posturale."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">Le syndrome de tachycardie orthostatique posturale (POTS) et la fibromyalgie sont des maladies chroniques qui se chevauchent souvent et partagent des sympt\u00f4mes tels que la fatigue, le brouillard c\u00e9r\u00e9bral et la douleur. Alors que le POTS affecte principalement le syst\u00e8me nerveux autonome, provoquant des \u00e9tourdissements, une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration du rythme cardiaque et des \u00e9vanouissements, la fibromyalgie se caract\u00e9rise par des douleurs diffuses et des troubles du sommeil. Ces deux affections peuvent avoir un impact significatif sur la qualit\u00e9 de vie, et comprendre leurs liens peut aider \u00e0 orienter les approches th\u00e9rapeutiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dans cette pr\u00e9sentation, Kate discutera des causes du POTS, de la mani\u00e8re dont le POTS est diagnostiqu\u00e9 et des traitements qui peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour aider \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les sympt\u00f4mes.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>Dr. Kate Bourne, PhD<\/strong>&nbsp;is a medical student in the Leaders in Medicine program at the University of Calgary. Kate&nbsp;recently completed her PhD in Dr. Satish Raj's Lab where<strong> her research focused on the impacts of POTS<\/strong> on patients as well as non-pharmacological treatment options including compression garments.&nbsp;During her graduate work Kate held a CIHR Vanier Scholar Award.
