Purpose:<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

  • To provide patient-led education on fibromyalgia to:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Persons with fibromyalgia, their families and caregivers:<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The medical\/healthcare sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Insurance companies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Legal professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Businesses and employers<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Government agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Community agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Educational institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The general public<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • educate our target audience on the life altering symptoms of fibromyalgia which often lead to debilitation, disablement, and impoverishment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • debunk the myths and misconceptions of fibromyalgia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • de-stigmatize fibromyalgia; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • emphasize the importance of early diagnosis in order to successfully manage and improve patient outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Membership:<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

        The Education Committee is comprised of members who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • Bring a variety of lived experiences, skills, abilities, and networks to help advance the work of FAC<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Bring diversity to the Education Committee with respect to age, location, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, and culture as the Committee strives to be broadly reflective of the fibromyalgia community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Meetings:<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

          The Education Committee will meet virtually via Zoom for 1\u00bd hours at 2:30pm ET the second Tuesday of every month<\/strong>. Closed captioning is available. <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
